Mobile Information Capture Solutions

The mobile working culture is fast becoming the norm; opening new opportunities for forward-thinking organisations to improve customer service and workforce productivity.

Formic's mobile information capture solutions use devices such as Tablet PCs together with electronic form templates to record information on the move. Part-completed forms can be stored locally until they are ready to be submitted and at the end of a shift, the worker simply uploads all completed forms; sending the underlying data along with an ink version of the form to a secure network location. For extended periods of remote working, GPRS data submission is available.

Customers can design, build and deploy their own forms using a powerful but easy-to-use design tool. In fact, it’s the same design tool used in Formic’s paper processing systems which means that any existing paper form design can be instantly converted to electronic format and deployed to almost any handheld device, offering true multi-channel information capture. What’s more, the business rules that decide whether a paper form is accepted/rejected are replicated in the electronic version - contributing to a significant increase in data accuracy and reliability. The software will not permit invalid forms to be submitted.

As a stand-alone system or working alongside paper document processing systems, Formic’s mobile solutions offer the versatility, flexibility and convenience demanded by a modern workforce.
